AFTER TWO YEARS OF NAVIGATING THE COMPLEXITY OF BEING IN LOVE, HEARTBROKEN, AND HORNY AT THE SAME TIME, I CREATED ROMANTIC HOE - AN EXPLORATION OF FEMALE SEXUALITY, MENTAL HEALTH, AND THE PROCESS OF HEALING THROUGH HUMOR AND VULNERABILITY. ROMANTIC HOE ISN'T ABOUT ROMANTICIZING PAIN OR "THE DICK".
IT'S ABOUT PUTTING THE FEMALE EXPERIENCE AND EMOTION AT THE CENTER - WITH ALL ITS TRAUMAS, CONTRADICTIONS, AND INTENSITY. IT'S ABOUT TRANSMUTING PAIN INTO STRENGTH, AND QUESTIONING THE STIGMAS AND DEPENDENCIES WOMEN ARE TAUGHT TO LIVE WITH.
THIS WORK IS ABOUT FREEDOM - ABOUT EMBRACING YOUR RAGE AND YOUR TENDERNESS.
IT'S BEING A SLUT WITHOUT SHAME. IT'S BEING CRAZY WITHOUT SHAME. BEING A ROMANTIC HOE IS RADICAL VULNERABILITY. IT'S BEING IN LOVE WITHOUT FEAR. BECAUSE WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A GODDESS AND A WHORE?
WE ARE BOTH.

Romantic Hoe selection of drawings on paper (2023-2025)
Romantic Hoe was a pop-up exhibition held on October 11–12, 2025, at 22 Dobbin Street, Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY, hosted by The Convent, a nonprofit space, in collaboration with Moody Magazine and Algeria Community. The show was open to the public for the weekend, with a private viewing available for a month.
The exhibition featured five large-scale paintings and twenty-five drawings on paper. All works where made from live model sessions (2023-2025) which I selected five of my favorite sketches and translated them into raw large canvases preserving the same materials as in the originals drawings.
The gallery was bathed in red light, with red roses scattered on the floor and the 'Pussy' audio playing through the space from time to time.
I also released the ROMANTIC HOE BOOK, a collection of typewriter poems, handwritten phrases, and scanned drawings, sold during the show.
